Reward With More Than Money
In addition to
formalized system that offer monetary reward for improved performance, system
that provide intrinsic reward should be created as well. HR Managers need to be
aware of how the culture operates and what types of behaviors are rewarded by peer
group among employees. What way of acting provide employees with a feeling of
belonging. With a feeling of being part of something bigger than themselves ? what
will elicit feelings of loyalty ? rites, routines, and rituals impact behavior.
What ones are necessary to reinforce cultural norms, or what ones will change
cultural norms ?
